Had lunch buffet ( All you can eat) Tuesday to Sunday. $19.90/person. Plenty of option in vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian categories. Along with curries, you will have two types of rice( yellow and white), nan, samosa, and papdum. You can also order from menu if you are after specific curry or food for extra cost. Taste is good. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommend for lunch if you are in town.

Amazing restaurant, our favourite in town. Recently changed to new management and the food quality has gotten even better than it was. Staff are great. We come here more than once a week usually, highly recommended!

This place where can I start… the service we came here on our trip one night for dinner and we had to come back three more times on our five day trip. Not only is the service top shelf and the place is beautiful… the food is terrific absolutely smashing. Me and my partner are chilli heads and the waiter Christie recognised from us from the night before and asked if we would like to have some chilli as they don’t put as much chilli as we would probably like in the buffet 😍 if this place was near to home I would be a regular. I would gain 5 kgs more

Please note that this review was specially written for the chef at Curry Star. The chef was kind enough to come and tell me he was doing some experiments with the biryani, including removing colours from the rice, which was a great initiative. The following is my honest feedback to the chef about the biryani he prepared for me (Chicken 65 biryani)
I recently tried the chicken 65 biryani at Curry Star Ballarat, an intriguing dish the chef was experimenting with. While the adventurous spirit is commendable, the execution fell slightly short.
The rice, while slightly overcooked initially, improved after some time. However, the lack of sufficient gravy was a significant drawback. A biryani, after all, is a harmonious blend of flavours and textures; without enough gravy, the plain basmati rice can feel a bit underwhelming.
Given the high standard of biryani offered by other local establishments, Curry Star's biryani requires further refinement to truly shine. It's a promising start, and it could become a standout dish with a little more attention to detail.
PS: I request the chef to please respond to this review. Once I get a response, I will be removing this review.

Absolutely wonderful night full of delicious food, our family rolled out of the door after feasting on the banquet. I cannot fault a single item of food, I also can't choose a favourite it was all so beautiful. Extra points for the amazing service and delightful server that looked after our table tonight, what a gem, customer service like no other. Will be back!
