pho-huong-viet-carnegie

quote Average pho. Ordered number 2, chicken and beef- soup fine taste. Beef was a bit chewy, and chicken was fine. Average. Ordered beef and tendon. Soup fine. Beef again chewy. Tendons were 50% soft and nice and 50% tough and not cooked. The spring rolls, two for $7 were also dense to eat. Like eating a boiled sweet, they were crispy but maybe how they fried it was hard to eat. Average. Better options in Clayton and Springvale.

quote Last minute booking for 7, parked outside the place was dead quiet. Was thinking we made a mistake. Chef comes out to greet us and tells us about tonight's special. I didn't really pay attention, due to kids stuffing about. we're the only customer in the restaurant. My foodie friend proceeds to over order as usual. The food was amazing, the front of house lady made our Thai milk tea which was perfect about of sweetness. Not the overly orange mix you would usually get and then having to water down the condense milk. This was proper Thai milk tea. I am surprised the place was dead quiet on a Saturday night. Down the street was an ordinary Thai place and it was booming. The chef here has way more skills. I've uploaded pics, this must be the best that food around the 15km radius. Will take my parents here, they will love it.

quote Read about the KL Hokkien Noodle rave review here and thought I give it a try. Perhaps my expectations were too high. It was a little sugary sweet for my liking. The lack of wok hei dampens my anticipation. Salt fish fried rice is pretty good, CKT is average fare and I did not try the BCM because it didn’t look too appetising. Service was quick which is a plus. I reckon the Asian churches nearby brings in the lunch crowd. Overall, it is crowded for a Sunday. Patrons must be enjoying their fares. For me, it’s just ok and I should not have been swayed by the ratings.
