Order Food in marangaroo

I haven't been here for a while so I decided to pop in for lunch with a work colleague since we were in the area. I noticed quite a few things have changed since the last time I was here for a meal, maybe 6 - 8 months ago. I guess costs have gone up and they've had to cut back wherever they can. They no longer have the Maggi chilli sauce bottles on the tables. If you want it, you'll need to get it from the counter. They claim to have new items added to the menu eg Sarawak Laksa, although I could've sworn it was already on the menu. I'll need to visit again to try their version of Sarawak Laksa. Pictures look legit and pretty tempting, so I guess I'll have try it soon. We ordered a Singapore Fried Mee hoon, Nasi Lemak with chicken curry and a serve of fried wontons. All washed down with a couple of Cokes. I added extra noodles and a fried egg on top of my fried mee hoon. Fried egg was $4 and so was the extra meehoon. A bit steep but I figured I'd give it a go. Wait time for food to come out was around 10 - 15 minutes, which I suppose is pretty good considering all tables were full in the shop i.e. very busy. Singapore Fried Mee Hoon portions seem to have gotten significantly smaller. I thought at first I had received the regular portion instead of the extra noodles. However, the server confirmed that what I received was with extra noodles. The fried egg was done nicely. Crispy chewy white and the egg yolk was just runny enough. Flavourwise, there was a bit of wok hei to the noodles, but it wasn't spectacular. Had to put lots of the Maggi Chilli Sauce to give it that flavour boost. The photo I took of the fried meehoon was after I put the sauce on. Feedback from my colleague about his Nasi Lemak was that it was OK although the sambal seemed to be a bit bland and portion sizes seem to have been reduced also. The fried wontons were just as good as I remembered them to be so that's a plus.

Good place to get drinks lots of options. I got lemon ice tea and it's so nice good size too

New ownership has been a refreshing change. Everytime the fish has been amazing!! Chip are average, would be nicer if crisper. Only negative is every time we speak to the young staff they have no idea what’s going on, no knowledge of what they stock, and seem to mix up orders a lot. Hopefully that changes, because it’s got a lot of promise.

This place is amazing, everything is so perfect, the taste, price and portion size. My new favorite local Chinese restaurant, i ordered 6 things (didn’t take a picture of the egg tarts) and total was only 60 bucks!!! RECOMMENDED. The staff are so nice and friendly

Went to this place for dinner with the family on a Friday night. It was empty. Plenty of parking. Each dish was well priced. About 16 to 17 dollars. Food well cooked. One of the better Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. Not a big place. Only a few small tables. We got: - Egg noodles and wantons in soup - Broken Rice. Pork, fried egg - Stir Fried Beef and Rice Noodles (Dry) Well worth a visit despite the run down exterior and surroundings

We’ve been to their dim sum on weekends several times and never disappointed 👍 Surprisingly, their dinner was amazing too!! The clay pot chicken was a bit salty but it’s still tasty. You can also taste the freshness of the lobster 😋😋 If you have a group of 5+, highly recommend ordering that. Our grandma loves their durian mochi too ❤️
