This place has an amazing atmosphere that makes it the go-to place to go and eat some food that is made quite fast. The service is amazing with the employees greeting you the second you walk in and greeting you until the moment you leave; they are always kind and are very helpful at recommending foods. The food choices are amazing with there being a wide selection and every choice being amazing with all of them having mouth-watering taste and amazing quality.
I recommend this place to anyone that wants amazing service and a quiet place to chat with some friends over some delicious dinner.
Would never stop coming back

I went to messy munchies again and of course enjoyed it, but I notice that the owners are using their music skills to bring an even better environment to their perfect restaurant. Photos are below

Japanese restaurant located at the end of a busy street in Applecross.
Got the fresh salmon roll, teriyaki salmon roll, steamed gyoza, takoyaki, chicken kaarage don and Udon.
The Udon was on the sweeter side. Gyoza was quite nice and juicy (only $1 for a piece). Handroll was okay but the seaweed was a little tough and chewy.
Pricing is okay but on the more expensive side.
Parking is hard to find especially during lunch times.

It’s a hidden gem in Applecross!
Ordered Karaage Chicken curry rice, teriyaki chicken udon soup, sushi bento and takoyaki. The fried chicken was just perfectly fried and the chicken was so juicy. My girls love their udon soup a lot. Sushi Bento is Katsu chicken roll with 8 pieces together with dumplings, spring rolls and salad. Overall experience was really good as the staffs were so friendly and kept making sure we are satisfied with what we had. Highly recommended!

Inside of the restaurant is a bit small, and quite basic, although the tables outside are great when it's warmer. The food is excellent and the prices very reasonable. Dishes are served within ten or fifteen minutes of ordering. The owners are lovely. Can't wait to see these guys do even better at a bigger place.

My first visit to Messy Munchies earlier this year instantly made it my favorite place to eat. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this spot was special. The food is incredibly fresh and prepared with care, and the staff are fantastic—serving each dish quickly and with such genuine warmth. The atmosphere is enhanced by amazing music, and I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal.
