asaka-sushi

quote Walked to this sushi shop and ordered Asaka Bento Lunch Special ($18.50). The combo includes teriyaki chicken, 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 piece of fried fish and one fried prawn. Love the salad with mayonnaise dressing and the crunchy yellow pickles. Worth the money. Delicious food with affordable price! Will come back again.

cambridge-chinese-bbq-cuisine

quote When I go to Wembley food court I usually head straight to Saigon Express for some pho but today I decided to to give these guys a go. There's a Bain Marie of suburban Chinese classics but also a menu of cooked to order dishes. I went for the pork and pickled bean, rice noodle soup and was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty and I would definitely order it again.

carine-thai-cuisine

quote After the restaurant's recent renovation, we were eager to try the new Thai menu that has replaced the long-standing Italian offering. The space is now bright and open, and the atmosphere felt inviting. The menu offers a thoughtful selection of dishes, with portion sizes that are just right. While the prices are on the higher side for a casual neighbourhood spot, there are some highlights. The Thai fish cakes were enjoyable, though the spring rolls could have used a bit more flavour. The massaman curry was rich in coconut, though the meat varied in texture—some pieces were tender, others tougher. The pad Thai (chicken) was satisfying, though it didn’t particularly stand out. One thing to note is that the space can get a bit noisy due to the many hard surfaces, and with the bright lighting, it might not be the most intimate setting for a quiet dinner. Overall, it’s a nice option if you’re in Carine and in the mood for Thai cuisine. While it may not transport you to the streets of Bangkok, it offers a pleasant dining experience.

eastgate-fish-and-chip

quote I was recommended to try this place by my friend and I had kind of expectations from Eastgate because of good reviews as well. But I am disappointed with quality of food. I tried single seafood set $20 which includes one piece Hoki fish, small chips, one piece of prawn and 2 pieces of squid. This set comes with a can of drink. When I start eating Hoki fish, it falls apart into many pieces and some part of fish are still cold. I need spoon to eat this fish and chips. Fried Squid is difficult to eat and Battered prawn one piece is just so so. I think the way they battered seafood really has to improve. Best thing from this set might be just chips. I coughed after my dinner (it could be because of can drink). Staffs are friendly and they do not control lemon wages like other fish and chips stalls. They gave proper box instead of paper for packaging. Not a place that I will be visiting again.
