Ranas Fish and Chips

The first time I went here the food was really good. The second time the flake, chips, potato cakes and dim sims were good, however the whiting was absolutely disgusting. Had a horrible smell and was clearly very old. Selling stuff like this could ruin your business you should be more careful. I'll give you guys another go but only stick to the items with a high turnover for a bit more confidence that it will be fresh

Since Last Year 04/09/2024 My name is Kevin it's nice to Meet You I went to this Store to Get Chips for Dinner & the Indian Man was very Friendly and Nice once I went back to Croydon Station I was waiting for the Train back to the City these Chips are Awesome & he put salt on my Chips once I leave the Shop & pay $4 such an Awesome Price Rana's Fish and Chips you have done an Awesome job such an Awesome Shop & well done & good on you with your Job thank you Rana's Fish and Chips you are Very Awesome God Bless You from Kevin

The battered fish was perfectly cooked and crunchy, the minimum chips is generous enough for 2 to share and were well cooked and salted, and the calamari rings were perfectly done! The only issue was the skin on the grilled flake was strangely chewy - probably more to do with the cut of the fish but also could've done with some high heat to crisp it up, as it was only cooked on a hotplate (so more "seared" than grilled) $37.50 for 3 pieces of fish, minimum chips, and four calamari rings - a very decent price these days I think!
