I walked past this place after my regular medical check up in Camberwell. I was curious about Indonesian foods and decided to give it a try. It is located in a very convenient place with plenty of car park and close to all the shops. Based on my observation it is a family owned business, which is always a great sign. The owner (I think) was friendly and recommended me a few dishes. I went with the babi panggang (a.k.a. roast pork) with rice, and it was delicious! The portion was generous too. I definitely will come back to try their other dishes ordered by other customers, which looked very tempting too.

Good food good price
I stumbled across Bamboe on a Sunday and was very pleased that they have no weekend surcharge. Lucky for us, it wasn’t crowded and there was enough space. There were a wide variety of authentic dishes and the portions were good for the price. Moreover, the staff was super friendly to us. I will definitely recommend everyone to have a go here if you visit Camberwell, especially after your shopping at the Sunday market.

Delicious Indonesian style food, authentic enough, rich and flavorful dishes. The chicken satay was delicious. Fried rice was good, very flavorful.

Awesome authentic Indonesian diner with a variety of good dishes.
I have tried a number of Indonesian restaurants across Australia and I have to say that this is probably THE best out there.
Really enjoyed their fried pork babi guling and rice - awesome crackling.
Their sambal was especially good and fresh balinese sambal - had to buy a bottle.
