埃塞俄比亚美食

Ethiopian cuisine characteristically consists of vegetable and often very spicy meat dishes. This is usually in the form of wat, a thick stew, served on top of injera, a large sourdough flatbread, which is about 50 centimeters in diameter and made out of fermented teff flour. Ethiopians eat most of the time with their right hands, using pieces of injera to pick up bites of entrées and side dishes.

quote A small food place in the neighbourhood of Flat Bush. Serves nice steamed buns and hot soy milk. Price is reasonable and portion is decent. The guy at the counter is super friendly too!

quote Visited with an elderly friend in a wheelchair. The staff were accommodating to his food order, helpful in getting us an accessible table, kind & friendly. The food was quick to come fresh from the kitchen & was exactly what he wanted. Despite being busy the staff didn't rush my friend at the counter & payment point so he didn't feel like he was an inconvenience. The price was very reasonable & I've already recommended this place to others.

quote Nice kebab. Disappointing service. Myself and 93 year old mother waited 15+ minutes to place our order as we were ignored while pre-ordered foods (yet to be collected) were prioritised. The place was empty (2.15 pm), but a few people came in to collect food. Our order of 1 x tea, 1 x black coffee and 1 x kebab arrived 25 mins later.. 35+ mins wait in a non aircon cafe is never worth it (outside temp 36c). Total cost $31.50. (1 x Combination kebab (salad only) .. 1 x mug tea with bag floating inside plus 1 mug black coffee). Not quite sure how this adds up as the Kebab is $16.50 + 50c sauce.. making the 2 x hot drinks $7 each? Good takeaway food but not a Cafe.

quote Very authentic, super delish, my new favourite place. Highly recommend the salty bean curd, the fry bread with brown sugar and thr soy milk is homemade, you can really taste the soy taste like you get back home. Already thinking of my next visit

quote The food was delicious but the quantity was quite disappointing for the prices. Tables, cutlery, glasses were very clean and faultless. Very chilled tap water was also a plus. The timing and sequence for the delivery of the main dishes were unsatisfactory, though. It just took too long even when the restaurant was almost empty and didn’t seem to have many take-away orders, either. Service over all was nothing special. I wouldn’t go back.

quote I recently tried Ajay’s after my Dad was recommended them by his neighbour & they’ve become my go to pizza place. I usually order the Margherita & a Garlic Cheese Pizza with Dad opting for his Mexicana. The dough is incredible & appeared to be made from scratch. I appreciate that they also use quality ingredients as well. It’s also a family owned business & they make you feel so welcome when you go in to order. Honestly give Ajay’s a go & support a quality local business.
