The burger patties are quite thin and the chicken burger was very oily. The cheese fries only had cheese on the top half. There are definitely better burger places in the area.

Came down here on a Saturday evening for dinner and they were already half packed. The first thing you notice is the place is very rudimentary, floor tiles is slightly greasy sticky and I knew it straight away the food was going to be good and authentic. The service is efficient and on point, got the menu and water as we sat down. Ordered the XLB, Xiao long bao, Chinese sausage fried rice, spring onion pancake and pan fried pork dumplings. The food came out very quickly and it was definitely cooked to order as the buzz from kitchen rang out for each order.
Spring onion pancakes were had a crunchy crust, the centre was chewy and packed plenty of savoury flavour, just like how I had it in China. The fried rice was cooked in a wok with nice amount of oil to keep the rice seperate and packed plenty of wok hei (breath of the wok). XLB was small in size but well portioned for a mouth explosion with the hot soup inside as you one biter. This is the real experience of XLB.
The fried pork dumpling is definitely made in store during the day over at one of the dining tables and cooked to order. The flavours were spot on and the bottom of the dumpling is crispy.
All in all we finished our food and most impressive is their chilli oil on the table is house made, the umami flavours and the mix of heat is perfect, not too spicy and enhances every dish ever so slightly.

I recently had my first meal here and I tried the pork noodle soup. The portion size is quite generous for the $10 price. It's definitely worth a try! The soup is delicious, with the flat noodles (hor fun) and pork topping; it was very filling for me.
The atmosphere of the place is nice and feels homey. I highly recommend eating here, especially if you want a meal straight away. However, if you're looking to hang out with friends or stay for a while, it might not be the best fit. Overall, the offerings are great and perfect for someone looking for a quick bite! 😍💯✨

Such a great bargain, for just $10 a main dish. It is so close to the train station, I can just grab a takeaway after work.

I can’t believe we got a table, tempo has the quality of pizza that should be exclusive, booked out and sold at unreasonable prices, but it’s not. This neighbourhood pizza shop is run by experts in the field of a perfect Napoletana pizza, three generations with an ancestral passion for excellence, the quality is comparable to none other in Melbourne and trust me, I’ve looked around.
Tempo is simultaneously a long standing community favourite and a well kept secret. Who knew you could still get outstanding Napoletana pizza for $20-$25, those were the days, and the ones we need to cling onto.
Dom, Peter, Sebastian and now Ethan also, are doing their bit for the preservation of the good times.
We got our food very quickly, I’ve heard sometimes there is a wait, but really it’s worth it, some people line up for brunch, I’d wait an hour for this pizza all the while drinking the $16 tempo cocktail which is a MUST!
They also do really good pasta, so everybody’s happy, I mean pasta and wine, nobody can beat that.
Do yourself a favour, visit the real hospitality, run by family, made with love.
