quote I haven't been here for a while so I decided to pop in for lunch with a work colleague since we were in the area. I noticed quite a few things have changed since the last time I was here for a meal, maybe 6 - 8 months ago. I guess costs have gone up and they've had to cut back wherever they can. They no longer have the Maggi chilli sauce bottles on the tables. If you want it, you'll need to get it from the counter. They claim to have new items added to the menu eg Sarawak Laksa, although I could've sworn it was already on the menu. I'll need to visit again to try their version of Sarawak Laksa. Pictures look legit and pretty tempting, so I guess I'll have try it soon. We ordered a Singapore Fried Mee hoon, Nasi Lemak with chicken curry and a serve of fried wontons. All washed down with a couple of Cokes. I added extra noodles and a fried egg on top of my fried mee hoon. Fried egg was $4 and so was the extra meehoon. A bit steep but I figured I'd give it a go. Wait time for food to come out was around 10 - 15 minutes, which I suppose is pretty good considering all tables were full in the shop i.e. very busy. Singapore Fried Mee Hoon portions seem to have gotten significantly smaller. I thought at first I had received the regular portion instead of the extra noodles. However, the server confirmed that what I received was with extra noodles. The fried egg was done nicely. Crispy chewy white and the egg yolk was just runny enough. Flavourwise, there was a bit of wok hei to the noodles, but it wasn't spectacular. Had to put lots of the Maggi Chilli Sauce to give it that flavour boost. The photo I took of the fried meehoon was after I put the sauce on. Feedback from my colleague about his Nasi Lemak was that it was OK although the sambal seemed to be a bit bland and portion sizes seem to have been reduced also. The fried wontons were just as good as I remembered them to be so that's a plus.

quote Everyone should give this restaurant another chance! Since it was taken over by new owners earlier this year, the food has become incredibly delicious. The dim sum and roasted meats are amazing. I highly recommend trying it out—it’s not even expensive! Living in the northern area, I’m so glad that I finally don’t have to drive all the way to Northbridge just to have dim sum. Although their dim sum and roasted meats are delicious, the highlight is actually their dinner service. The head chef’s dishes are packed with “wok hei” (that unique, smoky flavor from stir-frying), and the food is genuinely amazing. 🥰 These days, I basically go there at least once a week—it’s just too outstanding!

quote Yum! Really really yum! The pork roll, whilst lacking pate (not sure if it's an option) is still one tasty roll... a bit stalky with the amount of coriander stalks, but I don't mind it, I get why some might not agree... Whilst not overflowing with pork, the roll still allows for all the other flavours to be present.. am easily able to slot this roll in my top 5 in Adelaide. Glad we've moved into the area! The pho, whilst not overly flavourful as some I've had in the past, still presents well and is quite filling. My takeaway didn't come with hoisin or chilli sauce, but luckily I had some at home and was able to add to the pho, and it took it to another level.... very, very yummy pho... Well done! Am going to come back!

quote The spicy Spanish Chorizo hot dog is quite good, I'm sure the others are good too. Not sure why others have given such low reviews. They must have lifted their game since. Giving it a 5 ⭐ to boost the average ratings up. Yours truly @fooderarri

quote Have been here a couple times and have tried the tacos, nachos and quesadilla. Tacos: pretty good! The booker T, junk yard dog, mephisto and the red river jack were stand outs. The King Kong bundy was a bit too salty, the fish fillet on the Aussie Joe bugner was a bit small and there was a bit too much beef on the macho man Randy savage so it overpowered the other flavours. The tacos are packed and filling and very satisfying. Nachos: the beef steak nachos were average Quesadilla: the chicken quesadilla is also average Overall a pretty decent Mexican joint, with a vast list of tacos to choose from and it’s all reasonably priced. The nachos and quesadillas also weren’t too bad but definitely would recommended sticking to the tacos. Services is quick and friendly. We came here on a a public holiday and they made sure we were aware of the surcharge which I thought was conscientious.
